Choose the right sauna rocks for your heater

Rough volcanic sauna stones have naturally irregular shapes and a textured surface. Individual sizes and piece counts vary. Check your heater's required stone dimensions before ordering.

Rounded volcanic sauna stones have a porous surface and a typical size of approximately 5–10 cm. They are intended as a top layer over suitable denser base stones, only where the heater manufacturer permits. Base stones are sold separately.

How many sauna stones do you need?

Use your heater's specified stone capacity to plan the amount. Each box contains approximately 16 kg; include any existing base stones when checking the total load. Read our sauna stone quantity guide for help interpreting the capacity.

Questions before you buy

Are these stones suitable for every sauna heater?

Compatibility depends on your heater's permitted stone material, shape, size and placement. Follow its manual for electric and wood-burning heaters. Portable infrared enclosures and steam-generator saunas do not use a stone basket.

What is included?

Sauna stones only. Heaters, baskets, tents and other accessories are not included. Natural stones vary in shape and appearance.
